The story is centered on a Chinese girl from a superstitious clan whose job as hashiri is to protect the balance of nature.Going down the generations,the hashiris were chosen from the clan but in the 21st generation,strange things happened.the hashiris were not from the clan, they were not even Chinese and nisha,a girl from the lineage of priests,a hashiri was sent to search and assemble the other hashiri.The hashiris were often blessed with super human abilities from nature to aid their job.A night after nisha left her clan,there was a tear in the sky,not all can see it.only nishas clansmen can see the tear and the hashiri.it wasn't a good thing at all but they didn't know what it meant untill monsters began to run wild in the city hunting down the artifacts that were used to seal it's master "THE RULER.A creature made by the gods as a token to the human world once was worshipped but as human civilization continue it was forgotten,no body cared.The creature became rebellious and attacked the humans.the gods didn't like it so they sealed it away in the nether land,a parallel world to the human world.A particular set of people was chosen to keep watch ,their children took over from them and so continued the series of hashiris.They were 7 items the gods used to seal away the creature and as long as it remained where it is the world is safe.As time on,the world became more developed,in the 21st generation,a group of archeologist dug up the first artifact which was the cause of the tear in the sky,ever since then, the unending battle of monsters vs hashiris began.
